AOK is a non-profit organization—small but steadily advancing—founded by Rita Nelson, 2016.

AOK's vision is to embody kindness and be a light in a dark and cold world, serving as the hands and feet of God. We strive to spread the love of Christ and offer hope to the hopeless by meeting people where they are. While we may not have all the answers, we are committed to being part of the solution. Our organization also supports other small groups by providing a support system, both financially and physically. We live by the motto, "All hands on deck," believi

ng that we are stronger and better together.

The more we unite, the greater the impact we can make. No one can do this alone. Our guiding scripture is "Love your neighbor as yourself," reminding us that we must care for others just as deeply as we care for ourselves.

Since 2020, our mission has been to reach Houston’s downtown homeless community and meet their immediate needs. Our outreaches are held quarterly, where we provide care packages, warm meals, drinks, and snacks. Each homeless individual's story is unique, but our goal is to bring hope and remind them that their current situation is not their final destination. We believe that God will provide.

Our organization is self-funded and supported by generous donations. We are incredibly grateful for the amazing supporters who help make our mission possible.
